Bhupinder Hundal, Founder and Senior Media Consultant
Our founder Bhupinder Hundal is a media professional and manager with over 10+ years of TV media experience.
Bhupinder was previously News Manager of OMNI Television (Rogers Media Inc.) in BC, overseeing the station’s Mandarin, Cantonese, and Punjabi newscasts, including all personnel and bureau operations in Victoria. He was also responsible for OMNI News Punjabi National Edition airing in Ontario and Alberta along with Hockey Night in Canada in Punjabi.
Bhupinder is also well recognized in the mainstream media as well. Bhupinder is a member of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS), and the BCIT Broadcast Journalism Advisory Council, and a past member of the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA). He also served as a member of the 2013 BC Election Debate Consortium along with other TV News Directors in Vancouver.
Bhupinder has also been recognized for his contributions. He is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. He was also awarded with the Rogers Business Impact award for his managerial work at OMNI. During his tenure as News Manager, the OMNI newsroom won Jack Webster Journalism Awards for Best Reporting in Chinese in 2011 and 2012.
Randip Janda, Communications Strategist
Randip is someone who understands the need for a sound communications plan and the art of the perfect pitch. He was previously the Assignment Editor of OMNI Television (Rogers Media Inc.) in BC, brainstorming, researching and executing news stories for OMNI’s Punjabi and Chinese newscasts. Randip is also colour commentator and studio analyst for OMNI Television’s Hockey Night in Canada in Punjabi. With experience in working on breaking news, live sports coverage, and feature documentary series’, Randip has a wealth of experience and expertise to offer clients.
Randip is well connected and recognized in the community, his vast network includes politicians of all levels, business leaders, community organizations and members of the mainstream and ethnic media.
Randip is also an active member of his community. He is a member of the Asian Canadian Journalist Association’s (Vancouver) Organizing Committee, which is a group of media professionals devoted to providing a means of association and support among journalists of East Asian, South Asian, and Southeast Asian descent.
